United Chaplain International Worldwide Outreach Ministries Inc. was organized in September 2002. Elder Rozier's vision is a Chaplaincy that utilizes men and women to touch the hearts and minds of hurting people everywhere for God. This vision is to bring change in the lives of peoples - whether they are in urban or suburban communities, and to extend nationally and internationally, reaching a diverse population of people.
Elder Rozier starts with the premise that God is at the center of this work, and provides the basis for the present future growth and development of the organization. Being inspired of God he called the first planning meeting to set up the Chaplain Organization on October 25, 2002 in East Orange, New Jersey.
Under his direction and with the very able assistance of his dedicated wife Dr. Linda Rozier, R.N., the official name of the organization was established and entitled "United Chaplain International Worldwide Outreach Ministries, Inc."
At a later meeting it was decided the newly established Chaplaincy organization would incorporate as a non-profit, faith based initiative organization - a Chaplaincy program specifically designed to meet the needs of hurting people locally and internationally.
Elder Rozier's vision from God was based primarily on the intention of rebuilding the community through healing hurting hearts. In effect, a major goal of this Chaplaincy organization is to reach people by transcending religion, denominations, cultural limitations, economics status, and nationalities, as well as other biases. He believed strongly that we can better redevelop the community by first rebuilding the minds and hearts of the people in the community.
Elder Rozier's purpose is to establish schools of Chaplaincy for the instruction and training of qualified participants in order to prepare them for service in restoring the lives of individuals, as well as redevelopment of the community at large.
UCIWO currently provides trained and qualified Chaplains and mentors for various institutions, such as Prisons, Nursing Homes, Shelters, Public Schools, Drug Rehab Facilities, Juvenile Justice Programs, Non-Profit Faith-based Organizations, as well as the Salvation Army, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey under the direction of Rev. Chaplain George Blackwell.
In June 2004, in recognition of a Proclamation voted for by the Council of the City of Newark, New Jersey, Elder Rozier and Dr. Rozier were individually presented award plaques in recognition of Outstanding Community Service.
United Chaplains was nominated in January 2005 by the New Jersey State Clergy Alliance as one of the 3 leading organizations in the State of New Jersey. This acknowledgement was presented at the black-tie Recognition Affair held at the New Jersey Performing Art Center, Newark, New Jersey.
